RUGBY
The team to represent Kenya in the under-14 Touraid Nations Cup has been drawn in Pool B and will play its first match at Esher, England on September 27th.

The team, with a nicknam Maasai Cheetah’s, is in the same pool with Zambia, India, Swaziland and Romania while Pool A has Cambodia, South Africa, Moldova, Rwanda and Kazakhstan.

According to Kenya Rugby Football Union chairman Richard Omwela, the team’s participation will help in showcasing Kenya’s potential at the lower level of the game.

Kenya Rugby Football Union Projects coordinator Eric Situma who will travel with the team as their coach said they will assemble on Sunday, September 23 at the Rugby Football Union of East Africa ground for some light training, before departing the next day.

According to the organizers, the Pool matches will be played on September 27 at Esher RFC in Surrey, which is in the South West of England with the finals on September 29, 2007 at Richmond Athletic ground.
