Ambassadors for Christ

Recently, the Mthunzi boys were invited by Father Oswald Mutale, the Parish Priest of the Cathedral of the Child Jesus in Lusaka, to participate in celebrations marking the 50th anniversary of the establishment of Lusaka Archdiocese.

The even took place on September 19. After a solemn mass in a nearby hall, three choirs performed beautiful songs before the Mthunzi Cultural club gave a sample of their talent in drumming, dancing and acrobatics.

It was a good performance, and our boys really gave their best.

At the end of everything, Father Oswald Mutale called Charles Kaluna, our organizer, and told him, “I did not even imagine you were so skilled. You should come to represent the group at a meeting next Tuesday".

On that Tuesday Charles met with senior representatives of the local lay movements. The meeting selected the Mthunzi Cultural Group to represent the archdiocese when the Catholic Church organizes the upcoming celebrations in Lusaka.

We are very proud, and we will do our best to improve our shows!
