Mthunzi Boys Involved in Deadly Road Accident
Five Mthunzi boys - James, Gideon, Ricky, Rabson and Stanley - were involved in a road accident that claimed the lives of two of their schoolmates.
The five, who are members of the football team of their school – Mwavi High School – had just participated in a football tournament in Petauke, Eastern Province, and were returning to Mwavi at the tournament’s end. They were aboard an open van belonging to their school, and the driver failed to negotiate a bend, causing the car to overturn. Two students died on the spot, while our friends suffered some serious injuries and were under shock. However, they are now out of hospital and are recovering with us at Mthunzi. We thank God for having them with us, and we are grateful to all our friends who prayed for them. Indeed at that trying time, we felt that many people loved us.
