Mthunzi work camp an overwhelming experience

Every year, Koinonia holds its annual work camp. This is a program in which work is done randomly. It is a stop gap measure for the for both soft and hard work activities that could not be done in normal working days because of some constraints which sometimes could be financial insufficiency or shortfall of man power.

The program takes off every August of the year and this year’s theme was more fire. It was packed with both work, recreation and education activities. Mthunzi boys enjoyed the school lessons offered by the Italians and evenings were packed with recreation activities involved drama and traditional dances from both Mthunzi family members.

The disappointing thing this was that in the same period Zambia lost its president and the commotion surrounding the event disturbed some of the activities..
