March 31: Fugitive billionaire businessman ketan Somaia returns to the country after a four year absence. April 5: NARC MPs retreat to Mount Kenya Safari Club in Nanyuki to discuss internal differences that threatened to tear the party apart. April 6: Somaia is arrested at the Jomo Kenyatta International Airport as he flees the country. April 11: Former directors of state corporations, including those of the National Hospital Insurance Fund, Kenyatta National Hospital and Post Bank are charged in court with abuse of office.
