Feb. 21: Chief Justice Bernard Chunga is suspended and a tribunal set up to investigate his conduct. Appelate Judge Justice Evans Gicheru is appointed acting Chief Justice. Feb. 25: Chunga resigns as Chief Justice. Mar. 3.John Munge resigns as Commissioner General of the Kenya Revenue Authority following his close links with Euro Bank. Mar. 3: The US unveils its new embassy at Gigiri, Nairobi. Mar 4: Central Bank governor bows to public pressure and resigns following his failure to alert the public on the status of Euro bank. Mar 5: Tribunal set up to investigate Chunga is disbanded. Mar 5: MPs pass a motion to raise their pay by more than Kshs 100000 per month.
