September 29: East African Standard editors arrested for publishing confessions of Dr Mbai's killers. September 29: President Mwai Kibaki leads the cabinet in declaring their wealth. September 30: A report on corruption in the judiciary is handed over to Chief Justice Evan Gicheru. October 1: Three people are charged with the murder of review delegate Dr Odhiambo Mbai. October 3: Chief Justice Evan Gicheru challenges corrupt judges to resign or face tribunals. October 6: President Kibaki arrives in the US for a state visit. October 7: Kabete MP Paul Muite is quizzed over Mbai murder. October 8: Kamukunji MP Norman Nyagah is named in parliament as the one who killed Dr Mbai. October 13: Vice President Moody Awori cautions MPs against bickering.
