Kenya: Orange Launches Christmas Voice Promotion

Nairobi--- Integrated Telecommunications Services Company Orange has launched a Christmas holiday promotion that will see Orange Mobile pre-paid subscribers enjoy lower pay-as-you-go rates till January 10, 2013.
The round the clock Christmas offer, dubbed “Furahia Krismasi” will allow pre-paid mobile customers on the network to make calls within across all Orange networks for as low as KSh 1 between 8 pm and 8am, and for as low as KSh 2 between 8 am and 8 pm. Orange pre-paid customers will also get to send on-net and off-net SMSs for as low as 50 cents, as well as get to enjoy off-net calls at KSh 4 be able to access social networking site Facebook zero and content site Wikipedia for free.
Announcing the promotion, company CEO Mickael Ghossein, described the offer as one that will enable Orange customers to enjoy the high quality service offering from Orange during this festive season.
“This promotion further complements our stand as the provider of choice, keen on giving the customer a unique value proposition. This offering also goes to show the importance we place in enabling family and friends to communicate more as we approach the social festivities that come with December,” said Ghossein, adding that no subscription was required for this pay-as-you-go tariff.
“This will be the primary default tariff during this holiday season for all our mobile pre-paid customers that are not subscribed to Holla, Usinyamaze and Jienjoy na Mbao, our other exciting offers” he said.
The offer comes only days after the launch of the telco’s sales promotion, Kamata Goody Goody, on a range of mobile devices at discounted prices during the Christmas season. Shoppers enjoy offers on various mobile and data devices, ranging from tablets to data enabled mobile phones, complementing the telco’s position as the provider of quality and competitive communications services in the country.
