Kenya: Nairobi Water Customers to Pay Bills Via PesaPoint ATMs

NAIROBI--PesaPoint has launched a system that will enable Nairobi City Water & Sewerage Company (NCWSC) customers to pay their bills from their debit cards at PesaPoint ATMs located in strategic places in the city and estates.

According to Nairobi City Water & Sewerage Company (NCWSC), customers will now have an additional payment method via PesaPoint ATMs that will help them avoid queuing  at the company’s banking halls while offering the convenience of timely payments.

 The payments will be reflected at NCWSC almost instantaneously.

NCWSC Managing Director Eng. Philip Gichuki said the company sealed the deal with PesaPoint in  bid to give its customer base an electronic water bill payment service noting that this will increase the number of water bill payment points available  across PesaPoints nationwide ATM network.   

 “Water bill payment interface on PesaPoint ATMs is now live and active. It is simple and user-friendly- anyone who has used an ATM before will find this facility very easy and useful,” said Eng Gichuki.

The company said the partnership with PesaPoint as a self service system was part of its larger effort to make revenue collection hustle free and more effective.

According to Richard Coate, PesaPoint Managing Director, payment of water bills through the PesaPoint ATMs will give customers more convenient value added services. “NCWSC customers will have another 40 new pay-points located in strategic places in the city and estates adding convenience to the payment process,” said Mr Coate.

The service is available 24 hours a day including weekends.
