Kenya: Telkom Kenya CEO Wins Continental Recognition

    Nairobi--- Mickael  Ghossein, Telkom Kenya’s Chief Executive Officer, has been recognised as one of  Africa’s best chief executives in the Telecommunications sector. 
  This recognition by IT News  Africa, a South African based news agency that focuses on the developments of  the ICT sector on the continent, cited the CEO’s achievements as well as his  company’s overall business performance as key to the recognition. 
  “The great strides that they have  made in building successful African telecommunications companies and their  focus on innovation also played a crucial part in their making the cut,” said  Abby Wakama, the Executive Editor with the publication that has been in the  market for the last four years.
  Mr. Ghossein, who has over  30 years’ experience in the telecommunications industry, said he was honoured  by the recognition, which he attributed to a dedicated team of employees that  have helped steer the company on a positive growth trend. 
  “The success of Orange in  Kenya is as a result of a well-researched strategy implemented by a team of  highly trained and resilient work force that has taken to heart our commitment  to deliver seamless and integrated telecommunications services,” he said. 
   Telkom Kenya, which  recently launched its 21 Mbps network has through its commercial brand Orange,  been on the front line of launching innovative  products and services that meet the dynamic needs and trends in the Kenyan  market. 
  “Our focus on the value  proposition for the customer, by way of efficient customer care, stability in  the provision of service as well as timely and well thought out innovations has  enabled us gain the confidence of our customers,” he said. 
  Mr. Ghossein holds a Master  of Electronics Electrotechnics Automatisation from the University of Lyon, an  Engineering Diploma from the Superior Electronics Institute – Nord, as well as  a DEA Signal Processing from the University of Valenciennes. 
This was the first continental survey that IT  News Africa has carried out and according to Mr. Wakama, the publication is  keen on undertaking these surveys on a regular basis.
