Kenya: Event Organised to Celebrate African Woman

MOMBASA--The Afro Diva's Nite is an event that has been specifically put together to celebrate the uniqueness and diversity of the independent African woman through an evening of song and dance. The event shall take place on the 30th of October 2010 at Club Seafront Mombasa,Kenya.
The event will incorporate 3 main elements, a live performance by Afro-fusion Maestro Kidum well known in East and Central Africa,Afro Diva awards and a high fashion show case.
Afro Diva Awards, is an awards ceremony that will see female achievers from different sectors of the society awarded for their contributions to society in terms of industry and social responsibility.
Various categories including education, media, social responsibility, human rights, governance, sports,and entertainment will be awarded come the d-day.
Being the first ever event in Mombasa, the target attendance of not less than 2,000 guests with 50 of them being VIPs is expected.
This is a high fashion showcase that will see the best fashion designers in the region showcase their creations, the best dress of the night will be auctioned live after the runway show and the proceeds will go to the Breast Cancer Awareness Support Group that is currently on the ground in Mombasa, Kenya.
