Kenya: Shalom Institute, Italian Cultural Institute to Hold Theatre Workshop

The Shalom Institute, a project of Koinonia Community, a lay Christian organisation working for peace and the rehabilitation of street children in Kenya, in collaboration with the Italian Cultural Institute will be hosting a two-day workshop on the 27th and 29th October 2010 at the Phoenix Theatre, a leading Repertory Theatre based at Nairobi’s Professional Centre. The workshop will bring together students with a passion in the performing arts as well as professional ac tors/actresses.
Mario Pirovano, an internationally renowned actor and artistic director will be the facilitator.
Mario recently perfomed in Edinburgh and London. Key on the agenda will be how to master your body to help in dominating the stage (Stage presence) by use of voices and gestures in storytelling.
