Zain Rewards Loyal Customers

Nairobi, Kenya--In its quest to increase market share, Zain, the country’s second largest mobile operator has launched a multi-million shilling customer reward programme that will see one customer walk away with KES 1 million (US$12,500) every week.
Dubbed Angukia milioni na Zain (win a million with Zain) lottery, the promotion, which kicks off tomorrow, allows customers to earn points for using their Zain lines and entered into a weekly draw in which they stand to win cash and other lucrative prizes.
Zain Kenya Managing Director said through the reward programme, 13 lucky customers will each pocket US$12,500 between October and December each year. Customers will earn points for incoming and outgoing calls, incoming and outgoing SMS, topping up their lines with any denomination scratch card, Internet access and also subscribing to Club 20, Ziki, kopa credo, Me 2u and please call me services.
“Points earned will be entered into the lottery immediately. The more the points a customer accumulates, the more the chances of winning”, said Meza.
The points earned by customers will be accumulated daily and then entered into a weekly draw. After the draw, customers will begin earning points afresh for the subsequent week’s draw.
“The reward applies automatically to all our customers on pre-paid and post-paid tariff plans. No subscription is required”, Meza added.
The reward programme follows last month’s successful launch of Zain Kenya’s new low pricing which saw the company introduce the lowest tariffs in the Kenyan market.
