Al-shabaab Murders Civilians in Muna Hotel

A couple of Alshabab militants fired indiscriminately against civilians in Muna Hotel in Mogadishu killing 31, including hotel staff, police said today. The gunmen invaded the hotel early morning on Tuesday dressed as government security forces.
Six of the MPs who were staying at the hotel were among the dead in the attack. In addition, 5 government security forces died in the operation. The militant eventually blew themselves up.
Somalia’s Minister of Information, Abdirahman Omar Osman said:
“They have no motive other than to terrorize the Somali people. This is a deplorable act in this holy month of Ramadan. It shows their brutality and lack of respect for humanity.
