Six Die as Building Collapses in Kenya

Six people died and 18 others trapped when a building under construction in Kiambu, a town near Kenya’s capital Nairobi collapsed Monday.

The building collapsed barely three days after another one came down in Nairobi’s low income Huruma estate, killing one person.

This incident brings memories of a bigger case in 2005, when another building collapsed near a bus terminus in downtown Nairobi, leaving at least 15 people dead. [CK]
