Guinea Junta to Enter Talks with Opposition
CONAKRY, Guinea
Guinea's military rulers and their political opponents have agreed to meet in Burkina Faso for talks to resolve the country’s political crisis.
The two sides were invited for the discussions by Burkina Faso’s President Blaise Compaore, after rioting left more than 157 opposition demonstrators dead last week.
Guinea is already suspended from the African Union after the coup that brought Captain Camara to power last December hence the political dialogue can be the only solution for the political crisis in Guinea. [GR]
