Guinea Junta Now Wants Coalition Govt
CONAKRY, Guinea
Guinea’s military leaders now want to form a coalition government following the killing of 157 opposition demonstrators on Monday.
Mandjou Deoubate, a ruling council official, said the military rulers have indicated willingness to form a coalition with various political parties.
Military leader Captain Moussa Camara, who has ruled Guinea since seizing power in a December 2008 coup, is yet to declare whether he will run for president in elections scheduled for January 2010. (GR)
