Cameroon Internet Costs Fall Drastically
YAOUNDE, Cameroon
A private Internet Service Provider in Cameroon has estimated that Internet prices have reduced in the country by about 90% since the beginning of the year.
The Internet Service Provider, Ringo, also says that many more Cameroonians can now afford to access the internet in their homes, offices and mobile phones due to the influx of cheaper technology from China.
A new $21 a month internet service introduced by local telecom firm Orange Cameroun has helped attract over 5,000 new subscribers in the past half year. [GR]
