At least 19 people have been killed by floods caused by torrential rains in Mozambique over the past few days, the country’s national broadcaster has reported. Mozambican authorities say most of the deaths occurred as flood victims struggled to cross a turbulent river in Manica province, adding that 1,000 people have been displaced in the coastal region of Inhambane.
