Egypt Suffers Massive Internet Outage

Egypt has suffered a massive internet outage following the cutting of under-sea connection cables located in the Mediterranean. According to the Egyptian Communications Ministry on Friday, three connection cables were cut off the coast of Sicily, Italy, causing a countrywide internet breakdown in Egypt. The cause of the cut has not yet been established and the ministry is making short term efforts to reconnect the country though alternative Asian routes. [PE]
