Sudan Authorities Demolish 10,000 Slum Houses

Sudanese authorities have demolished about 10,000 makeshift houses in a Khartoum slum, leaving over 50,000 people homeless. Eyewitnesses say police arrived in the Mandela slum on Wednesday evening and used tear gas to flush out residents before demolishing their houses.
