Eleven people were killed by foods caused by heavy rains in northeastern Morocco, the country’s government has announced. Government spokesman Khalid Naciri told journalists that the overnight torrents had been heaviest in Nador province, causing over 20 homes to either collapse or sink in the flood water. Naciri said the Morrocan government had dispatched emergency provisions and army troops to assist the victims.[PE]
