Arab Justice Ministers to Discuss Sudan’s ICC Crisis

Justice ministers from Arab League countries are set to discuss the crisis between Sudan and the International Criminal Court (ICC), Sudanese Justice Minister Abdel Basit Saleh Sabdarat and Arab League (AL) Secretary General Amr Moussa announced Sunday. Moussa and Sabdarat say the ministers will meet in Cairo on October 12 to brainstorm ways to diffuse the ICC’s threat to indict Sudan’s President Omar al-Bashir for genocide in Darfur, as well as the resumption of peace talks between Khartoum and the various Darfuri rebel groups.[PE]
