AU Condemns Somali Insurgent Attacks on Peacekeepers

The African Union has condemned the increasing incidences of insurgent attacks against AU peacekeepers in Somalia. AU Special envoy to Somalia Nicholas Bwakira condemned these attacks, saying the AU forces would not allow themselves to be drawn into direct armed partisan conflict as their aim was to help the Somali people achieve peace in their country.[PE]
