Mugabe to Form New Govt without Tsvangirai
Zimbabwean President Robert Mugabe will form a new government without the opposition, deputy information minister Bright Matonga has said. Matonga said Mugabe had decided to exclude Opposition leader Morgan Tsvangirai and his Movement for Democratic Change (MDC) because they had shown “disinterest” in forming part of a unity government. The MDC has warned Mugabe against such a move, accusing him of abandoning power sharing talks in order to retain power, with its spokesman Nelson Chamisa saying Mugabe would fail if he attempted to rule alone without a clear mandate.
