Somali President, PM Agree to End Feud
Somali President Abdullahi Yusuf and Prime Minister Nur Hassan Hussein have resolved to end their political dispute and work together for the stability of their war-wracked country's transitional government. According to Government spokesman Abdi Hahi Gobdon, the two leaders reached agreement on several issues during over one week of talks mediated Ethiopian leader Meles Zenawi in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. Last week, Ethiopia’s foreign minister, Seyoum Mesfin, described the political feud as the biggest obstacle to the stability of Somalia, which has not had an effective government since dictator Siad Barre was deposed in 1991.
