Nigeria’s Yar’Adua Replaces Top Military Chiefs

Nigerian President Umaru Yar'Adua has appointed new heads for his country’s military, dropping service chiefs appointed by his predecessor, Olusegun Obasanjo. Yar’Adua named Air Marshall Paul Dike as overall head of the armed forces, with Major-General A.B. Dambazau in charge of the Army and Rear Admiral Isaiah Iko Ibrahim as Navy chief.[PE]
