Zimbabwe Negotiations to Continue At Regional Summit
Talks to resolve Zimbabwe’s political crisis are set to resume on the sidelines of a regional summit in South Africa this weekend, government minister Patrick Chinamasa has said. Both President Robert Mugabe and Opposition leader Morgan Tsvangirai have arrived in Johannesburg, South Africa, where the Southern African Development Community (SADC) summit will be held. Three marathon sessions failed to yield a final power sharing agreement in Harare this week Meanwhile, Botswana’s President Ian Khama has indicated that he will boycott the SADC summit if Mugabe and Tsvangirai fail to reach a power-sharing agreement forehand.
