120 Countries Rally Behind Sudan’s Bashir over ICC Charge

A group of 120 government ministers from developing nations have expressed solidarity with Sudanese leader Omar al-Bashir over the recent attempt by the International Criminal Court (ICC) to charge him for genocide in Darfur. Meeting in Iran, the ministers from member countries of the Non-Aligned Movement said they would back efforts to defer the indictment, which they warned would undermine efforts for peace in Darfur and the national reconciliation agenda for Sudan.
