South Sudan Leader Denies Expelling Ugandan Troops

South Sudanese President Salva Kiir has denied reports that his country had recently resolved to expel all Ugandan troops stationed within its territory. Speaking Wednesday, Kiiir said the presence of the Ugandan troops had sanctioned by Sudan’s national government even before South Sudan become autonomous, adding that any problems with their presence would be resolved “administratively” by the two countries’ army chiefs.[PE]
