Somali Opposition Leaders Mend Differences

Leaders of an alliance of Somali opposition leaders meeting in Yemen have resolved to mend their differences and work as a single entity. Sheikh Yusuf Ali Aynte, spokesman for the Islamic Courts Union, told journalists Tuesday that the Yemen discussions have succeeded in reconciling leaders of the Alliance for the Re-liberation of Somalia (ARS), who fell out soon after signing a peace agreement with the interim Somali government last June.
