Kibaki Urges Politicians to Ease Succession Talk

Kenyan President Mwai Kibaki urged leaders jostling to succeed him after he completes his second and final term in 2012 to relax their talk as there was currently no vacuum. Speaking Saturday in the provincial town of Nyeri, Kibaki warned the leaders that such succession talk could divide the people of Kenya, who are still recovering from the violent skirmishes that followed the controversial 2007 presidential election.
