Ugandan Opposition on Two week Study Tour of Sweden
Officials from five Ugandan opposition parties are currently attending a two-week capacity building tour of Sweden. Sources say the delegation, which includes officials from Opposition leader Kizza Besigye’s FDC, DP, UPC, CP and JEEMA, was sponsored by Sweden’s ruling Moderate Party to a learning tour that will help them improve their campaign tactics and provide effective opposition to the government. There are also reports that the parties are seeking ways to work together and form alliances with the aim of defeating ruling party candidates.[P.E]
