Soldier Killed as Somali Insurgents Attack military base

A Somali government soldier was killed Wednesday when as Al Shabaab militants attacked a military base near Baidoa, Southern Somalia. Sources say heavily-armed rebels staged a night attack on the Daynunay military camp, leading to the soldier’s death in the ensuing gun battle. Al Shabaab spokesman Muktar Robow later confirmed that his group was responsible for the attack. [P.E]
