Burundi Mediator Warns against Inflammatory Statements

The chief mediator in the Burundi peace talks has cautioned the government and the FNL rebels against making provocative statements that he warned could threaten the country’s ongoing peace process. Citing recent statements by FNL leader Agathon Rwasa and Communication Minster Hafsa Mossi, mediator Kingsley Mamabola urged both sides to avoid risking a return to hostilities at a time when they were approaching the final phase of the peace process.[P.E]
