Ethiopia Denies Staging Cross border Attack on Sudan

Ethiopia has denied an accusation by Sudan that it staged a cross-border attack on a Sudanese police base, killing 19 people. Prime Minister Meles Zenawi's spokesman Berekat Simon said Wednesday that the attack was most likely an incident between Ethiopian and Sudanese locals. On Tuesday, Sudan accused the Ethiopian army of attacking a police base and killing 19 civilians at Jabal Hantub, a Sudanese region 17 km from the Sudan-Ethiopia border.
