Burundi’s government has accused the country’s PalipeHutu-FNL rebels of resuming attacks against civilians after suspending their participation in the country’s peace process. Burundi’s Communications Minister, Hafsa Mossi, claims that the rebels have been looting homes and ravaging farms since Sunday, when FNL leader Agathon Rwasa suspended the cantonment of his rebel fighters following the government’s refusal to recognise the rebel group as a political party.
