Sudan Wants International Arbitration Over Abyei Border

Sudanese leaders from both the Arab-dominated North and the semi-autonomous South have resolved to have an international body demarcate their territorial borders in the disputed oil-rich Abyei region, UN mediators said Wednesday. UN delegation head Dumisani Kumalo said the two sides also agreed to facilitate the return of thousands who fled Abyei during the recent clashes between northern and southern forces.
