Military chiefs from several Great Lakes countries are meeting in the Ugandan capital Kampala, where they are planning a military offensive to wipe out the country’s rebel Lord's Resistance Army (LRA). According to the state owned New Vision newspaper, Uganda, Congo and South Sudan have resolved to pursue a joint campaign against the LRA, whose leader Joseph Kony has refused to sign a peace deal that would have ended his 21 year insurgency.[P.E]
