South Africa Declares Xenophobic Attacks under Control

Two South African cabinet ministers have declared that the recent spate of attacks against immigrants from other African countries are now firmly under control. The county’s Safety and Security Minister Charles Nqakula told the state broadcaster SABC that no violence had been reported within the past 24 hours. Intelligence Minister Ronnie Kasrils also reaffirmed that the violence had subsided. [P.E]
