Ugandan rebel leader Joseph Kony, the leader of the 21-year long Lord’s Resistance Army (LRA) insurgency, has declared that he will not sign a peace agreement with the Ugandan government. Kony sent a message to Martin Aliker, a senior advisor to Ugandan President Yoweri Museveni, saying he will die fighting because he fears that he will be tried and executed after signing the peace deal. Kony has previously sought to have the International Criminal Court drop all charges preferred against him for crimes against humanity. [P.E]
