The leaders of Burundi’s last active rebel group, the Forces for National Liberation (FNL), announced Wednesday that they will return from exile to finally implement the long delayed 2006 peace deal. FNL spokesman Pasteur Habimana said the leaders will arrive home from Tanzania Friday, though FNL leader Agathon Rwasa will not be part of the entourage. FNL - the militant arm of the pro-Hutu Palipehutu political group - has in recent weeks battled government troops in the capital, Bujumbura.
