New company launched
NAIROBI-- Create Africa, a company which will use its world class creative products to supplement the income of kenyan based charities such as GOAL and ICROSS was this morning launched in Nairobi.
The company is the brainchild of Jerry kennely, winner of the 2005 Ernest &Young Emerging Entrepreneur of the year Award. Create Africa came into existence last September when Kennely was challenged on a live national TV programme by John O'Shea, founder of GOAL to use his entrepreneural skills to create a difference in Africa. As a result, he came up with a 70-product range including post cards, printed souvenirs and calenders. The products, mainly targeting tourists, primarily focus on the Kenyan people. The company's entire shareholding will be transferred to local employees within a year.
