Garang dies in copter crash

Sudan's First Vice-President Dr John Garang de Mabior is dead. His body was discovered yesterday in the Kush area of Sudan's eastern Equitoria region. The helicopter carrying Garang is believed to have crashed in bad weather on Saturday. He was returning to Sudan after holding talks with Uganda's president Yoweri Museveni in Kampala.
